How to save Data while using Internet on PC
Does your PC consume Excessive Internet Data?
The answer of more than 90% of
people is “yes” and only a few of them know how to stop their PC from excessive
Internet usage especially on windows 8 and windows 10.
PCs use to update database and
other windows updates in background, even without notifying the user. SO, it
becomes very difficult for the user to find relevant solutions in order to stop
background data consumption in PC.
Whatever platform you are running
or whichever window you use your PC won’t stop consuming MBs unless you do the
following Settings provided in the tutorial.
Follow all the steps to avoid
unnecessary internet usage in your PC.
For Windows 7,XP and Professional
1. First
of all browse File Explorer located in ”My Computer” ,Right Click on it and
open “properties”.
2. On
left upper corner locate “Windows Updates” open it, It may ask you for Password
if your system is password protected, enter the password or just allow as
administrator.
3. Make
relevant changes in the settings and enjoy.
For Windows 8,10 or above
1.
Press windows button and type wifi, you will
see a setting in the search bar i.e ”Change wifi setting”.
2.
Open it and locate your connection.
3.
Click on “set as metered connection” and
exit the settings.
You can also turn off Windows Defender Sample submission,Windows
automatic updates and restrict data usage for background apps on windows 8 and windows 10.
